BACIWA OUTLINES ACTION PLAN FOR EL NIÑO

A rice field dried up due to an El Niño-induced drought

BACIWA braces for the worst and strongest El Niño in history.

The BACIWA Disaster Committee, headed by Mr. Roberto Quebrar, Manager, Property and Materials Management Division, together with the Department Managers, prepared and outlined an Action Plan for El Niño.

The action plan consists of three stages: Before El Niño (preparation stage), Onset of El Niño and Post El Niño.

Water conservation posters will be distributed to various schools, government offices and public places for public information and education.

The El Niño is expected to hit the country late this year and may last until the first quarter of next year.
