1955 NAWASA took over YWS
1965 Bacolod City took over operations from NAWASA
2008 BACIWA celebrated its 30th Anniversary on October 9
2013 BACIWA celebrated its 40th Anniversary on October 9

MISSION

Through Divine guidance and providence, BACIWA is committed to:

  1. Provide safe, abundant, affordable and potable water to the most number of Bacoleños;
  2. Protect, conserve and develop in a sustainable way, the watershed and water resources;
  3.  Provide adequate sewerage system in Bacolod City;
  4.  Support harmoniously the local government units in endeavors toward development and progress;
  5.  Satisfy and serve well, the consumers, the life and reason of the District’s existence;
  6.  Empower the adequately compensated employees to achieve work excellence and fulfillment;
  7.  Live by the principle that public office is a public trust.
